Beautiful Chanhassen, MN is well-known for its parks and outdoor recreational activities. Much of that is centered around landmarks including Lake Ann, Carver Beach, and Lake Minnewashta. And, there are 70 miles of multi-use trails throughout the town.

As for the great indoors, Chanhassen is on the rise. This part of the state did especially well recovering from the real estate crash of 2008.

More than 85 percent of the residents here own, rather than rent, their homes. And, the median home price is over $400,000. That’s much higher than the state average of around $225,000.

The second-largest city in Carver County, it’s on track to add 200 new homes annually. The majority of the houses in Chanhassen are still more than 20 years old. These include old-fashioned suburban ranches and split-level homes. Most new construction projects are luxury homes.

When it comes to older homes, switching to ductless when you’re replacing an aging HVAC system adds to the property value while making you more comfortable all year-round.

The ranches and split-levels often have rooms that are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. This happens especially in rooms over a garage and in homes with attics. Those are both regular features of these older models.

And, any home with window air conditioners in the summer is due for an upgrade.

Meanwhile, some of the newer luxury homes in Chanhassen have exceptionally large rooms. Others have open floor plans. These look beautiful but aren’t always the easiest when it comes to climate control.

Zoned heating and cooling with ductless lets you can control the temperature for each part of the home separately. And, the system is whisper-quiet. It’s the last touch to make a new luxury home sleek and comfortable.
